- Math is everywhere in Nature! Look around-- the pattern of spots on your dog, the delicate symmetry of butterfly wings, the shape of crystals in salt are all evidence of some of the mathematical properties of nature. "Nature’s Numbers", from The Franklin Institute, provides opportunities for play with 20 graphically lush, tactile, interactives on math and nature.
Museum Day, September 27th
On September 27, in a celebration of culture, learning and dissemination of knowledge, Coyote Point Museum will participate in the 4th Annual Museum Day presented by the Smithsonian magazine. Museum Day is a day when museums and cultural institutions nationwide open their doors free of charge to Smithsonian magazine readers and Smithsonian.com visitors. Attendees must present Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day admission Card to gain free entry unless already a member. A downloadable version is also available on the Museum Day website at Smithsonian.com.

- Daily at 12:30 pm Always a family favorite, watch our frisky River Otter frolic and play during the daily feeding. Observe our otter in his habitat from BOTH above ground and through the underwater observation window!

PAWS AND CLAWS
Are you an Animal Planet fanatic? Can't get enough facts on critters furry or feathered? Then come join us in our Wildlife Theater and learn facts about our own non-releasable animals, endangered species or majestic birds! Show themes will vary so you can learn something new every time your visit. Suitability: People of all ages who are awed by animals.

10:00 am - 12:00 noonGet your hands dirty as we dig into our garden and learn what lives above and below the surface. Join us as we search for different shapes and colors, use found objects to make eco-art masterpieces and get to know some of the animals that make our garden home.Toddler Tuesday is a unique hands-on, environmental education-themed, early childhood program. On the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month (except where noted), Coyote Point Museum hosts this activity from 10 am -12 noon for children ages 2-5 and their caregivers. Toddler crafts, exploration activities, and live animal presentations are part of this program. Each month has a different theme. $5.00 fee. Check the Museum entrance for the activity locations. Come join in the fun!
