Coyote Pups
This summer, Coyote Pups can enjoy four different themed camps each offering exciting activities. Campers are encouraged to sign up for all four! Within a camp theme activities may repeat during the summer.
Coyote Pups: Shades and Shadows
Young artists will use natural tools and a variety of media to create original artwork and constructions inspired by nature. Learn about vivid warning colors, subtle patterns of camouflage, and other natural adaptations. Paint with plants, build a bird beak, and create a shadow puppet play. Explore pattern, texture, shape, and color in this remarkable combination of art and science.
Coyote Pups: Nature Detectives
Look through lenses, peek inside a plant, or feel something furry. Follow your nose through our garden, create a tasty sculpture, and make music. This camp encourages small scientists to explore the world using all five senses. We'll investigate nature through safe and exciting exploration of sound, light, texture, taste, and smell. Join us to develop your detective skills and discover the sparkly, gooey, and stinky sides of science!
Coyote Pups: Animal Adventures
Why are some animals furry and others feathered? How fast or slow does a tortoise go? What makes a worm wiggle? Get closer to some of the animals at the museum and learn about their special adaptations. Learn what they like to eat, where they sleep, and where they live in nature. Go on an adventure to find tiny creatures living around Coyote Point Recreation Area. Find out all about animals in this wild and wooly, slippery and scaly camp!
Coyote Pups: Wheels and Wings
How high can you build a tower? How fast will your airplaine fly? Can you stir up floating bubbles and puffy foam? Join us to explore the physics of things that fall, float, and flutter and the chemistry of solutions that are slippery, sticky, and slimy. We'll be building, stirring, and squishing all sorts of contraptions and gooey concoctions.
COYOTE PUPS MUST BE POTTY TRAINED.
Half Day Camp, 9:00am-12:00noon
Fee includes Pre-Camp (8:30-9:00am).
